IPL 2024: Shah Rukh Khan bats, AbRam bowls to Rinku Singh in KKR training session | Watch

Shah Rukh Khan and his son AbRam joined Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) players, including Rinku Singh, for a training session on April 28. Videos posted online showed SRK and AbRam displaying their cricket skills as they gear up for KKR's match against Delhi Capitals at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. In one video, SRK, wearing the KKR jersey, showcased his batting prowess by hitting a few balls.

Another video showed AbRam bowling a yorker to Rinku Singh, with everyone fielding around him. The young bowler posed a challenge for Rinku, who defended himself skillfully.

KKR is set to play against DC on Monday, marking their sixth match at their home ground. They have lost two out of the five matches played there this year. In their last match on April 26 in Kolkata, KKR scored over 200 runs against Punjab Kings but couldn't defend it. Despite the loss, KKR currently holds the second spot on the points table.

SRK has been a regular at KKR matches this season, offering support and motivation to the team. After a match, he addressed the players, emphasizing the importance of unity and mentoring the younger members for their growth as cricketers.

After losing one of the matches, Shah Rukh said, ‘There are days in our lives, in sports especially, when we don’t deserve to lose. And there are days also when we don’t deserve to win. But days are like that, which turns things around. I think today we didn’t deserve to lose. All of us played extremely well. We have to be very, very proud of ourselves. Please don’t feel sad or down. Feel as happy as we feel whenever we come to the changing room and we are on a high so maintain the high.’

‘The main thing is the energy in all of us. I think we have great energy on the field, we have lovely energy here and personally also, everybody is bonding together. So please continue so. All the best. Honestly, it is a very proud day, the way we all played. I think all of us, I won’t even take individual names, that’s been taken. GG (Gautam Gambhir), don’t feel down. We would all be bouncing back. It’s God’s plan for today,’ SRK added.
