Swara Bhasker channels a Telugu bride for Carnatic musical evening, poses with Fahad Ahmad

Actor Swara Bhasker and activist-politician Fahad Ahmad’s pre-wedding festivities are underway. After a haldi, mehendi, and sangeet ceremony, the couple hosted a Carnatic night. Taking to social media, Swara shared several pictures and videos from the event. She looked beautiful in a golden and maroon saree with traditional jewellery. In a picture, the actor is also seen posing with her husband Fahad Ahmad, who donned a cream kurta pyjama and a beige Nehru jacket.

Sharing the pictures on her Instagram stories, she wrote, ‘Channelling Telugu Brides’.

She also shared a video of Carnatic vocalist Sudha Raghuraman performing on stage and wrote, ‘The amazing @sudharaghuraman20 making our wedding celebrations magical #SwaadAnusaar.’

Earlier, Swara had shared pictures and videos from her mehendi and sangeet ceremony.

Swara and Fahad will also have a Qawwali night on March 15 followed by a reception the next day. A source close to the couple shared with indianexpress.com that the two have decided to let go of any traditional rituals and will just be enjoying the celebrations.

Last month, Swara Bhasker announced that she had registered her marriage with Fahad Ahmad.
