'Shamshera' trailer: Ranbir Kapoor's film is a gripping drama about 'A father’s legacy. A son’s destiny'

The much-awaited trailer of 'Shamshera,' starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, and Vaani Kapoor, has been released. The period drama stars Ranbir Kapoor in the titular role. He portrays the role of a dacoit, the saviour of his tribe. In this film. the actor will be seen in a double role for the first time as plays the role of a father as well as a son.

Shamshera is at loggerheads with police officer Daroga Shudh Singh in this gripping drama. Post his demise, his son seeks to avenge his death.

Ahead of the trailer release, the makers of the film introduced every character by unveiling their first-look posters.

The film is Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt's first film together. Earlier, Ranbir portrayed the role of Sanjay Dutt in the latter's biopic, titled 'Sanju.'

Directed by Karan Malhotra, 'Shamshera' will release in three languages - Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. It is set to hit the theatres on July 22, which will mark the 50th year of Yash Raj Films, the production house backing the film.
