Prabhas starrer 'Salaar' has released with a massive box office collection of Rs 95 crore on Friday. The film has left behind films like 'Jawan' and 'Animal' to become the biggest opener of 2023.

Loaded with power packed performances of Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapthi Babu and Shruti Haasan- KGF director’s latest action thriller- ‘Salaar’ has released with a big bang. ‘Salaar’ has minted Rs 95 crore on the opening day in domestic market, surpassing the projections.
Released in 5 languages, ‘Salaar’ earned Rs 175 crore worldwide on day 1 with Telugu version leading the show. Prashanth Neel’s ‘Salaar’ has left behind- ‘Jawan’ which collected Rs 75 Crore on its first day to become the biggest opener of 2023. It has also beaten Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ which saw an opening day collection of Rs 63.8 crore. Prabhas starrer is expected to continue breaking records with the streak of dominance on Day 2 as the film has already earned Rs 20 crore in advance booking.

The film marks a big comeback for Action king Prabhas after his ‘Adipurush’ failed to impress box office and received poor reviews. For the film’s director Prashanth Neel who is known for his action packed- KGF, even though it’s not as good as his previous films but a good start.
Amid mega build-up among fans and film analysts, ‘Salaar: Part One-Ceasefire’ has released on December 22 globally. The story of film is set in a city & revolves around 2 friends, played by Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. This film sets the stage for second part- ‘Shouryaanga Parvam’.

‘Salaar’ is clashing with Raj Kumar Hirani directed & Shah Rukh starrer ‘Dunki’ at the box office which released a day before. 'Salaar' however has left ‘Dunki’ way behind as far as box office collection is concerned.
