Rajkumar Rao’s next biopic film gets a new title and release date; deets inside

Rajkumar Rao starrer ‘SRI’ has a new title now and the film is all set to hit the theatres sooner than expected. The film based on the life of industrialist Srikanth Bolla will see Rajkumar Rao portray the titular character.

Earlier titled ‘SRI’, the biopic film has been renamed ‘Srikanth- Aa Raha Hai Sabki Aankhein Kholne’. The film’s release date also has been preponed and now it will be released on May 10. The lead actor of the film, Rajkumar Rao made the announcement on his official Instagram handle. He wrote, “A remarkable true story that will open your eyes! #Srikanth, earlier titled SRI, releasing on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, 10th May 2024." The film was earlier scheduled to release on May 17.

Helmed by Tushar Hiranandani, ‘Srikanth- Aa Raha Hai Sabki Aankhein Kholne’ also stars Jyotika, Alaya F and Sharad Kelkar in significant roles and is directed by Tushar Hiranandani.The film narrates the inspiring story of Srikanth Bolla, an industrialist who beat all the odds to achieve his dreams despite being visually impaired. Srikanth went on to be the founder of Bollant Industries in 2012.

Presented by Gulshan Kumar, the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishnan Kumar and Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani under the banners of T-Series Films and Chalk N Cheese Films Production LLP.

Besides the biopic film on Srikanth Bolla, Rajkumar Rao will also be seen in ‘Stree 2’, ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Abhishek Banerjeee, ‘Guns and Gulaabs Season 2’ and ‘Vicky Vidya a Woh Wala Video’.
