‘Ponniyin Selvan: I’: Aishwarya Rai and Trisha's BTS pic goes viral; Netizens praise their avatars

Mani Ratnam's ‘Ponniyin Selvan: I,’ one of the much-awaited films of this year, is near its release and a BTS picture of actors Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Trisha Krishnan from the sets is currently going viral on social media. In the viral pic, Trisha a.k.a Princess Kundavai and Aishwarya a.k.a queen Nandini are clicking a selfie and both look breathtakingly gorgeous in their outfits. Trisha also posted their picture on her Twitter account and captioned it, ‘Ash.’

Both Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Trisha Krishnan are playing the characters of arch-rivals in the story and people cannot wait to witness the ultimate face-off scene between these two in ‘Ponniyin Selvan: I’.

The movie will also star actor Vikram in the role of Aditya Karikalan, Karthi in the character of Vanthiyathevan, and Jayam Ravi as Arunmozhi Varman. The film will also see Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Lal, Kishore, Ashwin Kakumanu, and Aishwarya Lekshmi in the lead roles in the first part of the two-part series. The film revolves around the Chola dynasty and is based on the popular Tamil novel of the same name, written by Kalki Krishnamurthy.

‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is all set to hit the theatres on September 30 and will release in five languages - Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
