‘Pathaan 2’ confirmed: Shah Rukh Khan to begin filming by the end of 2024; Deets inside

After the blockbuster success of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’, the makers have revealed their plans for a sequel. In more exciting news, actor Shah Rukh Khan will reportedly reprise his role in Aditya Chopra’s spy universe.

Shah Rukh to return as ‘Pathaan’
As per a report in Pinkvilla, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up to return as ‘Pathaan’ and filmmaker Aditya Chopra has confirmed ‘Pathaan 2’ as the eighth film of YRF’s spy universe. ‘Pathaan 2’ will see SRK in a more dashing spy avatar as promised at the end of ‘Pathaan’.

Details of ‘Pathaan 2’
Aditya Chopra has reportedly worked on ‘Pathaan 2’ script over the last year. If reports are to be believed, Aditya Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan are in talks to take the film on the floors by the end of 2024.

The makers are setting up the next phase of YRF’s spy verse, where fans will also get to see a big battle between ‘Tiger’ and ‘Pathaan’. ‘Pathaan 2’ will reportedly set up the ‘Tiger Vs Pathaan’ clash on the big screen in future.

When ‘Pathaan’ broke all records
For the unversed, SRK’s ‘Pathaan’ was one of the highest grossing films of 2023. The film minted more than ₹ 540 crore in India and ₹ 1000 crore globally. This film also brought back Bollywood on track in the post covid era.

Bollywood’s Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan returned to big screens with ‘Pathaan’ in 2023, after a hiatus of four years. King Khan opted for action and rewrote several box office records last year. He made history as his three films earned over ₹ 2500 crore worldwide.
