Actor Nagarjuna Akkineni who recently featured in 'Brahmastra' talked about the film's success at the box office. He also talked about his son Naga Chaitanya's debut hindi film 'Laal Singh Chaddha's failure.

In an interview with PTI, Nagarjuna was asked about his family's reaction to the success of ‘Brahmastra’ and failure of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ at the box office.

He said, 'It is a bittersweet moment. I wish it had worked good. But it happens, it is an experience. When Chai told me he was doing this Forrest Gump remake, I told him don't expect to be recognised as a star. This will show you as an actor. And Chai said, 'I want to be known as an actor also'.

The 'Brahmastra' actor also shared his thoughts on North-South cinema debate. Spweaking with Pinkvilla he said that he is pleased that finally everyone is acknowledging each other as Indian cinema. He added “It’s becoming a smaller place, the whole industry. It’s good for the industry, we make bigger films, a wider variety of stories, scripts, everything comes out. You get to know the other cultures of living in the same country. It's a fantastic opportunity. I think it's a great opportunity for Indian cinema. We should take this,”.

'Brahmastra' released in theatres on September 9, also stars ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in pivotal roles.
