Mom-to-be Deepika Padukone receives beautiful bouquet from 'Singham 3' team

Actor Deepika Padukone, who will play Lady Singham in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham 3’, received a beautiful bouquet from the film’s team. The mother-to-be posted a photo of the gift which was accompanied by a cute note.

The note read, ‘To our hero, Lady Singham’.

On April 19, filmmaker Rohit Shetty introduced Deepika Padukone as Lady Singham, referring to her as his 'hero'. He shared a still of Deepika from the film. Her initial look as Shakti Shetty was revealed in October 2023 when Shetty released a sneak peek of Deepika dressed as a cop, recreating the 'Singham' hook step.

Sharing the same, Rohit wrote, ‘My hero, reel mein bhi aur real mein bhi (Both in reel and real life) Lady Singham!!! @deepikapadukone (sic).’

Deepika Padukone portrays Lady Singham in Rohit Shetty's cop universe film, 'Singham Again'. Her character was introduced last year, with Rohit describing her as ‘Naari Sita ka bhi roop hai aur Durga ka bhi’ (In women, there is the form of Sita and also of Durga). She is depicted as the most brutal and violent officer in their cop universe.

In December 2022, Rohit Shetty confirmed that Deepika Padukone would portray Lady Singham in his first female-centric copverse. At the 'Current Laga Re' song launch, Deepika gave a glimpse of her 'tashan wali walk' (attitude-filled walk) as Lady Singham.

At a 'Cirkus' event held in 2022, Rohit Shetty said, ‘Kahi na kahi to pata chal hi jaega so I will tell now only (Somewhere or the other, the truth will come out, so I'll tell you now). The next film that we are making is Singham from our cop universe. And every time I am asked 'Lady Singham kab aegi' (When will Lady Singham come). So, 'Singham Again' has a Lady Singh (while pointing towards Deepika Padukone). She is my lady cop from the cop universe. We are working on it next year.’

'Singham Again' features an ensemble star cast comprising Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff and Ranveer Singh.
