‘Maidaan’ X review: Netizens laud sports drama; say Ajay Devgn deserves a National Award

‘Maidaan,’ starring Ajay Devgn, hit the big screens and the moviegoers who watched the film have given out their verdict on social media.

While some called it a ‘blockbuster’, others felt slightly let down by the film, directed by Amit Sharma.

Giving 4 stars out of 5, a user wrote, ‘Amazing movie about football. #AjayDevgn has delivered another hit movie. Hard work will power and strong perseverance makes a man win any battle on MAIDAAN. A truly inspirational movie. All the characters have played their part very well. #MaidaanReview’

There were a few moviegoers who felt that the first half of the movie was average and its runtime could have been reduced.

Directed by Amit Sharma, 'Maidaan' held paid previews across India on April 10 ahead of its official release on April 11, coinciding with Eid. The film is set to clash with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's action-thriller 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan'.
