Mahesh Bhatt reveals his one message made Pooja Bhatt quit drinking

Mahesh Bhatt has revealed how his one message helped Pooja Bhatt’s drinking problem. In an interview with Indian Express, Mahesh revealed how one emotional message made Pooja quit drinking.

Mahesh revealed that he was on a holiday with Soni Razdan, Alia Bhatt, and Shaheen Bhatt when Pooja was texting him. He said, “Once, Soni, Shaheen, Alia and I were going to the Maldives for a holiday. Pooja and I were exchanging messages, she was going through a phase of gloom and doom and kept saying how much she loves me. Our flight was about to take off, when I texted her: If you love me, then love yourself, because I live in you.”

He added, “That message did something to her. I knew she wasn’t loving herself enough. You abuse yourself through alcohol when there’s something you don’t like about yourself. My text just worked."

Bhatt also revealed that earlier he didn’t want to intervene. He said that it’s in their genes that whatever they do, they do it ‘in excess.’ He shared, “I have broken every law in the book, so I have no business to sit on a high horse and take a holier than thou position."

Pooja is Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter from his first wife, Kiran Bhatt.
