‘Love and War’: Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has made a big announcement about his next magnus opus. The ace director will soon begin the shoot of ‘Love and War’, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in key roles. Actor Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal shared a post on their social media handle. The multi-starrer will be released on Christmas 2025.

Apart from the leading names and release date, the director and actors have not revealed anything about the film. Promising an epic saga, shooting of the film will begin in a few months, once Bhansali finishes his current project ‘Heera Mandi’ for Netflix.

While it will be the first time for Vicky Kaushal and Bhansali, both Ranbir and Alia have worked with the filmmaker. Ranbir Kapoor had made his debut with Bhansali’s ‘Saawariya’ in 2007 and had assisted him in ‘Black’ before starting his acting career. Alia, on the other hand, has worked with the director in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, which also earned her a National Award last year. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt shared the screen in ‘Brahmastra’ and this will be their first film together post marriage.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is currently busy with web series ‘Heera Mandi’, which will be released this year on Netflix. Reports suggest that he was initially going to work on ‘Baiju Bawra’ but decided to put that on hold and chose ‘Love and War’ as his next project.
