'Koffee With Karan’: All we know about the seventh edition of Karan Johar's show

The much-awaited ‘Koffee With Karan’ season 7 is now streaming exclusively on Disney + Hotstar. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, the lead pair of Karan Johar's forthcoming film 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani,' were the first guests to grace the show.

Before the second episode is out, let us tell you what all has changed this season.

No Khans in the seventh edition

In an exlcusive interview with NDTV, Karan Johar revealed that he couldn't manage to get the three Khans this season. The filmmaker said that he can get them for a party but not on his show.

'I can't manage two also, out of the three Khans,' he said.

Karan added that 'no film, talk show or reality show is above a relationship.'

'If I have a relationship with an artist, that is to me, the first priority. I need to service that more than anything else. If an artist has said anything in their candid mood or because they are comfortable with me and then, they went home and thought about it, called me the next day saying, ‘Yaar Karan, cut that out’… I have cut it out. I don’t even argue,' he said.

Karan won't judge the rapid-fire round

Karan was asked what was going to be different this season in an interview with India Today and the filmmaker revealed that this time around he's not going to judge the rapid-fire round. 'I cannot tell you who the judge is, but I am not the judge,' he said.

Ranbir won't be appearing on show

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt fans were eagerly looking forward to seeing the newlywed couple together on the show. However, Karan Johar told NDTV that Ranbir Kapoor has excused himself from his show because he feared that something he says may get him into trouble.

Celebs who will make their debut

Vijay Deverakonda, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Kiara Advani will be making their debut on this popular chat show.
Vijay will be accompanied by his 'Liger' co-star Ananya Panday, Samantha will feature along with Akshay Kumar and Kiara will be seen along with her 'Kabir Singh' co-star Shahid Kapoor.
