'Koffee With Karan 8' promo: Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone's 1st joint appearance; many revelations

Karan Johar's popular chat show 'Koffee With Karan' is all set to return on October 26. The opening episode of the eighth season will be graced by Bollywood's power couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.

A promo of the forthcoming show is being widely shared online and it promises an entertaining start to the new season.

In the fun-filled episode, Ranveer spills the beans about proposing to Deepika in 2015, three years before they tied the knot in an intimate wedding at Lake Como, Italy.

Ranveer said that he proposed to Deepika then because he didn't want to risk anyone else doing the same.

Later, Karan asked Deepika in the Rapid Fire round if she would ever date Rocky Randhawa, Ranveer’s character in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’. Deepika replied that she's married to Rocky Randhawa, suggesting how close Ranveer's character is to his real-life persona.

When asked who she has the best chemistry with, besides Ranveer, Deepika said, ‘With Hrithik, which everyone is going to see.’

Deepika will be seen paired with Hrithik in Sidharth Anand's action film ‘Fighter’, which is slated to release on January 25, 2024.

Ranveer and Deepika are all set to show their wedding footage for the first time in the episode as well.

Karan Johar, the host of this show and the filmmaker, has massive popularity. He was a tremendous hit when Season 1 debuted in Star World.

Launched in 2004, the first season showed Karan discussing the private lives of Bollywood stars. ‘Koffee With Karan’ has had 7 successful seasons till now.

Besides ‘Fighter’, Deepika will also be seen in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ alongside Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan and ‘Singham Again’.

Ranveer too plays a key role in ‘Singham Again’. He will also be seen in ‘Don 3’.

Karan Johar’s last directorial was ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’. He is now co-producing ‘Jigra’ with Alia Bhatt.
