'Koffee With Karan 7': Karan Johar denies favouring Janhvi Kapoor over Sara Ali Khan

'Koffee With Karan 7': The latest episode of Karan Johar's popular chat show featured social media influencers Tanmay Bhat, Danish Sait, Kusha Kapila, and Niharika NM. The guests appeared on the show as the 'Koffee' awards jury and also roasted the host for almost everything he said during the entire season.

The guests claimed that the filmmaker definitely favoured Janhvi Kapoor over Sara Ali Khan. Niharika mentioned that he called the Jahnvi hot, whereas he asked Sara about being raised in the absence of her father Saif Ali Khan.

To which Danish added, 'As somebody who was raised by a single parent, I would’ve cried. That poor girl was so strong'. Kusha also added, 'And there were comments made about who’s hotter, who’s frugal with money, who’s going to get the next Dharma project.'

Taken aback by these claims, Karan Johar denied choosing Janhvi over Sara and said that there was a technical glitch during the rapid-fire round and he himself was surprised to see Janhvi as the winner even when the 'Kedarnath' actor had performed exceptionally well.

He explained that there had been technical error behind-the-scenes and the actual results were the opposite. He said when he got to know the actual results, he handed over the hamper to Sara Ali Khan and started praising Janhvi Kapoor to cheer her up.

He even aired the visuals of this incident to defend himself.

Karan mentioned that the technical error was edited out from the final episode and it looked as if he is being biased towards Janhvi. Karan added that he loves Sara, and confirmed that she is collaborating with Dharma Productions on two back-to-back projects.
