Kartik Aaryan to star in Anurag Basu’s ‘Aashiqui 3’, says it is a 'dream come true'

Actor Kartik Aaryan is all set to star in Anurag Basu’s 'Aashiqui 3' and he says it is 'like a dream come true' to be a part of the musical love story.

In an interview with Variety, Kartik said, 'The timeless classic Aashiqui is something I grew up watching and working on Aashiqui 3 is like a dream come true. I feel privileged yet grateful collaborating with Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt for this opportunity. I’ve been a big fan of Anurag Basu’s work and collaborating with him on this one will definitely shape me in many ways.'

Director Anurag also spoke about the upcoming movie ‘Aashiqui 3’ and said that ‘Aashiqui’ and ‘Aashiqui 2’ were ‘emotions for the fans’ that is still instilled in the audience’s heart. He also spoke on carrying the legacy ahead in the best way he can.

Anurag went on to praise the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ actor for his ‘hard work, dedication, grit and determination towards his work.’

Kartik Aaryan took to social media and shared a picture of 'Team 'A', in which he seen posing with Anurag, music composer Pritam, Mukesh Bhatt and Bhushan Kumar.

The original ‘Aashiqui’ of 1990 was backed by T-Series and Vishesh Film. Producer Mukesh Bhatt of Vishesh Films said 'Aashiqui 3' will 'celebrate love like never before.'

T-Series MD and producer Bhushan Kumar said it was the perfect time to revive the beloved franchise, as it still has a place in everyone's heart.

The female actor has not been announced yet.

Kartik Aaryan will next be seen in 'Shehzada'. He also has 'Satyaprem Ki Katha', 'Captain India and 'Freddy' in the pipeline.
