Kartik Aaryan’s relatives were among the Ghatkopar hoarding collapse deceased, actor attends funeral

Kartik Aaryan’s maternal uncle Manoj Chansoria and aunt Anita Chansoria were among the 16 people who tragically lost their lives in Ghatkopar hoarding collapse on Monday. Two days after the incident, their bodies were found on Wednesday.

Manoj Chansoria was a retired ATC general manager. Reports suggest that the couple was in Mumbai to complete their visa paperwork for the United States to visit their son. When their phones went out of reach, their son alerted the local authorities and friends. Manoj’s former colleagues and Mumbai Police tracked his phone and the couple’s last location was found in Ghatkopar.

The couple was in their car when the 250 tonne hoarding collapsed on a petrol pump. Their bodies were found in their car which was completely squashed with the weight of the massive hoarding.

The final rites of the deceased were conducted at a crematorium on Thursday. Kartik Aaryan, along with the other family members, attended the funeral on Thursday.

About the Ghatkopar hoarding collapse

An illegal hoarding weighing 250 tonne collapsed on a petrol pump on Monday, trapping around 100 people under it after the dust storm in Mumbai. 16 people were killed while around 70 were injured in the tragic incident. Bhavesh Prabhudas Bhinde, the owner of the hoarding was arrested from Udaipur on Thursday.
