‘Kalki 2898 AD’ release trailer out: Ashwatthama fights it out, Haasan impresses as Supreme Yaskin

With six days to go for the mega release, anticipation has peaked over Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi drama ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. The makers dropped a second trailer on Friday, giving a further glimpse into the magnum opus and the internet can’t keep calm.

The trailer begins with Amitabh Bachchan’s Ashwathhama realising that the time has come. He finds Padma, played by Deepika Padukone and tells her that God is residing in her womb. He pledges to protect her against all the dangers and goes on to lock horns with Prabhas’ ‘Bhairava’, who is after a big bounty to get to the complex. A war begins and we get a better glimpse of Kamal Hassan’s character, ‘Supreme Yaskin’. The trailer is packed with high octane action sequences and larger than life experience.

Recently a pre-release event was held in Mumbai which was attended by the main cast and team by ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. Big B bought the first ticket of the film and gifted it to Kamal Haasan. Mom-to-be Deepika Padukone attended the event in a gorgeous black dress. Several pictures and videos from the event went viral on social media.

About ‘Kalki 2898 AD’

Besides Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan, the film also features Disha Patani, Anna Ben and Saswata Chatterjee. Helmed by Nag Ashwin, the mythological sci-fi drama is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and will be released on June 27, 2024, in the Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and English languages.
