‘Kalki 2898 AD’: Disha Patani’s character ‘Roxie’ unveiled on her birthday, see new poster

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is all set to hit the theatres on June 27. With the trailer release on June 10, the anticipation is at its peak. The makers of Nag Ashwin directorial have unveiled the first look poster of Disha Patani’s character on her 32nd birthday.

Disha Patani’s character reveal

Disha Patani is playing one of the key characters in the mythological sci-fi drama. A new poster of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ featuring Disha’s character has been released by the makers on the actor’s birthday. The poster features Disha Patani dressed in a chic black leather outfit. The poster reads, “Happy Birthday Roxie’. Along with the poster, the makers extended their wishes in the caption and wrote, “Wishing our Roxie, @dishapatani a very Happy Birthday.”

Disha Patani as Roxie will be seen playing Prabhas’ love interest in the magnum opus. Earlier, the trailer also gave a sneak peek of Disha’s character. From the first look, it seems that Disha will get to do some good action sequences and will play an important part in the film.

The trailer transports us to the world of Kashi, India's first and last city, which is desperately in need of a saviour as an evil ruler continues to harass its people. To stop manslaughter, philosophers yearn for a beacon of hope. Amitabh Bachchan's Ashwatthama then predicts a new force of power is present in the womb of Padma, played by Deepika Padukone.

Perplexed by the prediction, Padma finds herself questioning many things until she meets the protagonist Bhairava (Prabhas). Amitabh and Prabhas then indulge in an epic battle, performing some high-octane action sequences.

Helmed by Nag Ashwin, the mythological sci-fi drama is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and will be released on June 27, 2024, in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and English languages.
