Jawaan: Shah Rukh Khan introduces Vijay Sethupathi as ‘dealer of death’; shares his first look

Shah Rukh Khan took to social media on July 24 to unveil Vijay Sethupathi’s first look from the forthcoming film ‘Jawan’.

Sharing the poster, SRK wrote, “There’s no stopping him… or is there? Watch out!”

Sethupathi is seen drenched in a blue hue in the poster. He will be seen playing the antagonist in the Atlee directorial. The poster introduces Sethupathi as the ‘dealer of death.’

The makers released the prevue of ‘Jawan’ last month and since then cinemagoers have been brimming with excitement as the movie seems to have all the elements of a thrilling actioner.

The 172-second prevue had Sethupathi showing that is a worthy opponent for King Khan. He demonstrated his exceptional skills in the action sequences.

‘Jawan’ marks the first collaboration between Shah Rukh and Atlee, who is known for Tamil movies such as ‘Theri’, ‘Mersal’ and ‘Bigil’.

Besides SRK and Sethupathi, the film also stars Nayanthara, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, and Sunil Grover in pivotal roles.

Deepika Padukone has made a cameo appearance in the actioner.

Bankrolled by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, ‘Jawan’ is set to release globally on September 7, 2023.

The movie’s soundtrack and background score have been composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

GK Vishnu has handled the cinematography, while the film’s editing has been done by Ruben.

The action thriller has been made with an enormous budget of over Rs 200 crore.
