Jacqueline Fernandez to appear before Delhi Court

Actor Jacqueline Fernandez has been in the headlines over a Rs 200 crore extortion case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. As per a News18.com report, the actor’s legal team will be reaching Delhi on November 10. Jacqueline will reportedly appear before the Patiala House Court as they will consider her bail plea which is pending in the case. The court will also consider the Enforcement Directorate’s response to the matter.

Jacqueline Fernandez appeared before the Patiala House Court on October 22 for the hearing of the bail plea and got interim relief in the case till November 10. The court had asked ED to file a reply to her bail application.

In an interview with ETimes, Jacqueline’s lawyer had responded to Chandrashekhar’s letter that claimed the actor had zero involvement in the alleged scam. The lawyer mentioned that they will continue to fight for Jacqueline’s dignity and reiterated that she was innocent.

In his letter, Chandrashekar mentioned that he was in a relationship with Jacqueline and if he had given her and her family gifts, it wasn’t their fault. He said that the actor never asked him for anything except loving her and standing by her.

Jacqueline, who has been named as an accused in the case by ED, has been cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

On the work front, Jacqueline Fernandez was recently seen in ‘Ram Setu’ with Akshay Kumar and Nushrratt Bharuccha. She will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Cirkus’ and ‘Crakk’.
