‘Jaane Jaan’ trailer: Kareena Kapoor is a murder suspect in Sujoy Ghosh’s Netflix thriller

The trailer of Kareena Kapoor’s much-awaited thriller film ‘Jaane Jaan’ has been unveiled. The Sujoy Ghosh directorial, which is based on the bestselling mystery novel ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’, stars Kareena as Maya D’Souza.

Set in the hill station of Kalimpong, the film shows how Maya, who appears to be in an abusive relationship, turns out to be a murder suspect after her husband goes missing.

Jaideep Ahlawat stars as her neighbour Naren, while Vijay plays the cop Karan, who shows up in Kalimpong looking for Maya’s missing husband, and develops a romantic relationship with her.

‘Jaane Jaan’ will premiere on Netflix on September 21.

Sujoy Ghosh is best known for his hit thriller ‘Kahaani’. His last theatrical film was 2019’s ‘Badla’, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu.

He has also helmed the Netflix series, ‘Typewriter’, and most recently directed a segment in the anthology film ‘Lust Stories 2’.

Kareena Kapoor was last seen in the epic drama ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. The film, which also starred Aamir Khan, tanked commercially.

Vijay was last seen in Sujoy’s ‘Lust Stories 2’ short. He also appeared in the crime series ‘Dhaakad’ and ‘Kaalkoot’.

Jaideep was last seen in the film ‘An Action Hero’.
