Hindi films banned in Nepal: 'Adipurush' makers apologise to Kathmandu mayor, request him to decide

'Adipurush' makers have issued an apology to the mayor of Kathmandu a day after he expressed disappointment over 'Janaki is India's daughter' dialogue in the mythological drama and claimed that Sita was born in Nepal.


In the apology, the makers urged him to lift the ban on Hindi films in Nepal's capital and shared that the mistake in the dialogue has been corrected.The letter sent on behalf of T-series stated that it was 'never intentional or deliberate to cause disharm for anyone'.

The makers said the respect of women all over the world is of utmost importance to them.They also requested the mayor to view the film in artistic form, and support the intention of reaching out to the larger audiences to create interest in our history.
