Here’s why Dharmendra is missing from grandson Karan Deol’s pre-wedding celebrations

Sunny Deol’s son, actor Karan Deol is all set to tie the knot with Drishya Acharya, great-granddaughter of Bimal Roy, and celebrations have begun in Mumbai.

Several videos and photos from Karan’s pre-wedding festivities have surfaced on social media. We could see Sunny, Bobby, and Abhay Deol having a great time, but veteran star Dharmendra was M I A.

Now, in an interview with ETimes, Dharmendra has revealed that he will only attend the wedding ceremony of Karan and Drishya. He said they are likely to get inhibited in his presence and he does not want them to miss out on any of the fun.

Earlier, Dharmendra expressed his happiness at Karan’s wedding and said that the couple has his blessings.

Meanwhile, a video of Sunny Deol dancing to the song ‘Morni Ban Ke’ from ‘Badhaai Do’ at his son’s pre-wedding function is going viral online.

Karan and Drishya have been childhood sweethearts. They reportedly got engaged on his grandparents, Dharmendra and Prakash Kaur’s wedding anniversary, in a close-knit ceremony.
Karan made his acting debut in his father’s 2019 movie Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas.

He later starred in the 2021 film Velle. The film marked Karan’s first on-screen collaboration with his uncle Abhay Deol. The film also starred Mouni Roy and Anya Singh.

It was produced by Ajay Devgn and directed by debutante Deven Munjal. He will be seen next in Apne 2, co-starring Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.
