'Ghoomer': Sachin Tendulkar impressed by Saiyami Kher's bowling skills | Watch

Actor Saiyami Kher is receiving immense praise for her performance in ‘Ghoomer’. She plays the role of a para-athlete in the R Balki directorial.

The movie has received a thumbs-up not only from the audience but also several Indian cricketers including Sachin Tendulkar.

Saiyami recently had an interaction with ‘God of Cricket’ Sachin and the former Indian cricketer lauded the actor’s bowling skills.

Saiyami posted a video on social media in which Sachin asked her to showcase her bowling skills and the actor managed to impress him with the same.

Saiyami wrote, ‘What’s the one dream you had as a child that you never thought could never come true? Mine was that someday, I would get to meet @sachintendulkar my hero, my inspiration, my teacher. I have loved and learnt this game watching him play. I’ve bunked college to watch him play. I’ve had the loudest “Sachinnn Sachhhin” chant in the North Stand. So, I can’t seem to explain what this means to me (sic).’

The caption further read, ‘When I began acting, my friends ragged me and said, “Ja ja, acting kar. Someday Sachin will watch your film.” And that became my goal. To work hard and hope that someday the Master will watch my work. And then, it happened, the God of Cricket saw a film in which I play a cricketer. The God of Cricket asked me to show him how I bowled the Ghoomer. Dreams really do come true. This. This part of my life is called happiness (sic).’

'Ghoomer' follows the story of a cricketer who loses her hand in an accident and she is then trained to be back in the Indian team.
