In a career spanning over three decades, the eminent singer voiced more than 500 songs in various languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Bengali, Gujarati, and Malayalam. He began his career by singing jingles and released his first album, titled 'Pal,' in 1999.

His first Bollywood song was 'Chod Aaye Hum Voh Galliyan' from the 1996 movie 'Maachis.' He sang the song along with Hariharan, Suresh Wadkar, and Vinod Sehgal.
