'Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon' is a heart-wrenching song that has stood the test of time and continues to inspire the same sense of love for the country. Lata Mangeshkar had sung the song in front of then PM Jawaharlal Nehru in 1963 as a tribute for Indian soldiers who died in the Sino-India War.

Lag Jaa Gale (1964)

'Lag Jaa Gale' from the suspense-thriller 'Woh Kaun Thi' is a masterpiece featuring Manoj Kumar and Sadhana. In an interview in 2016, Lata Mangeshkar listed it as one of her top six favourite songs.

Hothon Mein Aisi Baat (1967)

'Hothon Mein Aisi Baat’ is a duet featuring Bhupinder Singh and Lata Mangeshkar. The song was a remarkable achievement at the time because of the way it was recorded and shot. The movie 'Jewel Thief' was one of the finest thrillers in Bollywood.
