Five Bollywood actors who have done their own playback singing

There was a time when actors used to lip-sync to songs in films but now it is a thing of the past. Many celebrities have voiced their own songs for their films and surprisingly, they have succeeded in impressing the audience too. Ayushmann Khurrana, Parineeti Chopra, and Alia Bhatt are among the few who can also sing beautifully.

Ayushmann Khurrana
Ayushmann showed off his singing skills in his debut film, ‘Vicky Donor'. He sang ‘Pani Da Rang’ which is one of the most loved songs to date. He also has songs like ‘Naina Da Kya Kasoor’, ‘Mere Liye Tum Kaafi Ho’, and ‘Nain Naa Jodeen’ to his credit.

Parineeti Chopra
Parineeti is a trained Hindustani classical singer and also holds a BA Honours in music. She made her singing debut in ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ with the song, ‘Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahin’.

Alia Bhatt
Alia made her singing debut with ‘Sooha Saha’ from her movie ‘Highway’. She also lent her voice to ‘Main Tennu Samjhawan’ in ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Ikk Kudi’ in ‘Udta Punjab’ and showed off her singing prowess.

Amitabh Bachchan
Amitabh Bachchan is loved not just as an actor but also as a singer. Over the years he has lent his voice to several tracks like ‘Silsila’s ‘Rang Barse’, which is still a Holi favourite, ‘Baghban’s ‘Main Yahan Tu Wahan’, and ‘Atrangi Yaari’ from ‘Wazir’. Big B always manages to evoke the right emotion with his singing.

Farhan Akhtar
Farhan is the son of lyricist-poet Javed Akhtar. He has proved that he is exceptional in the field of acting, directing and as well as singing. He has voiced a lot of songs in his films. He has songs like, ‘Rock On!’ and ‘Senorita’ to his credit.
