Indian Navy Day is celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm on December 4 every year. It is observed to recognise the Indian Navy’s efforts and achievements of the Indian Navy in Operation Trident. It also aims to raise public awareness regarding the Navy.

Here’s a look at a few Bollywood movies that showcase the importance of Indian Navy.

Ghazi (2017)
Starring Rana Daggubati, Kay Kay Menon, and Atul Kulkarni, this is India's first underwater war film. It revolves around the events that unfolded right before the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war when the Pakistani Submarine Ghazi (Asia's most powerful fast-attack submarine at the time) attempted to destroy the Indian aircraft carrier Vikrant.

Rustom (2016)
The crime thriller, starring Akshay Kumar, Ileana D’Cruz, Arjan Bajwa, and Esha Gupta, is about Rustom, a naval officer, who leads a happy life with his wife Cynthia, but his world turns upside down after he discovers her affair with Vikram, a close friend, and is accused of murdering him.

Tum Haseen Main Jawaan (1970)
The movie, starring Dharmendra, Hema Malini, and Rajendra Nath, is based on a navy officer who has multiple affairs with attractive women but finally meets a beautiful girl and falls in love. She loves him in return, however, one of her other admirers tells the officer that she is deceiving him and is the mother of a child.
