Everything you need to know about Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's star-studded Mumbai reception

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are all set to tie the knot today (June 23) in Mumbai. After registering their marriage in an intimate ceremony with only friends and family in attendance, the couple will host a Bollywood-themed reception for their industry friends and colleagues at Bastian, as per DJ Ganesh, who will be playing at the event. The star-studded will have over 1000 guests in attendance.

A musical reception for Sona and Zaheer

"Sonakshi has a private reception at Bastian in Dadar. I think 1,000 people are invited. So, I think it will be a full-on Bollywood mix-off until 4 in the morning," DJ Ganesh told Dubai Brew. The cast of the Netflix series 'Heeramandi' as well as close friend Salman Khan are on the guest list. Manisha Koirala, on the other hand, won't be there for the festivities since she was seen on Sunday morning departing Mumbai.

The couple will have a registered marriage today at Sonakshi's Bandra apartment. Sonakshi and Zaheer had reached the venue earlier, while her parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, were also seen arriving for the ceremony. Honey Singh, Sonakshi's best friend, was spotted at the airport as he landed in Mumbai to attend her wedding festivities.

Couple's pre-wedding festivities

Before the big day, the couple hosted an indoor party for friends and family on June 20 followed by a mehendi ceremony that took place on June 21. On June 22, Sonakshi also conducted a puja ceremony at her parents' residence, Ramayana, which also saw her close friends Huma Qureshi and Shaqib Saleem in attendance.

Sonakshi and Zaheer's relationship

Sonakshi and Zaheer's relationship timeline is not known but the couple has made frequent outings together since 2020. They starred in the 2022 film 'Double XL'. While they have not publicly opened up about their love story, they often share love-filled posts for each other on social media.
