Dharmendra celebrates his 87th birthday with a puja at home; wishes pour in from the industry

Actor Dharmendra is celebrating his 87th birthday today. The 'Sholay' actor celebrated the day with a puja at home. His grandson, actor Karan Deol shared a photo of the actor attending the puja with a garland around his neck and sitting in front of the holy fire.

Karan took to Instagram and wrote 'So blessed to be your son and grandson. Happy Birthday Bade papa @aapkadharam.' The actor can be seen posing with his son actor Bobby Deol and grandson Karan Deol. Many celebrities including his son Sunny Deol also wished him by commenting on the photo.

Dharmendra's daughter, Esha Deol shared a picture of him from his younger days on her Instagram stories and wrote, 'Happy birthday papa. Love you.' Ajay Devgn also took to Twitter to wish the veteran actor and wrote 'Dearest Dharamji. Happy birthday Sir. You are my neighbour & my favourite. And you continue to rock. Lots of love & warm wishes. Ajay.' The veteran actor also responded to the post, by saying, 'Jeetey raho Ajay, you are my loving neighbour and I am your loving uncle. Love you always.'

On the work front, Dharmendra will next feature in Karan Johar's upcoming directorial venture 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani'.
