Superstars Dharmendra and Sharmila Tagore share their birthdays on December 8. The actors have remarkable careers in the film industry, individually, and they have also worked together in several movies.

To mark their birthdays, here are some popular Dharmendra and Sharmila’s movies that you must watch.

Chupke Chupke (1975)

The duo co-starred with Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan in this movie, directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee.
The film narrates the story of Sulekha who is in awe of her brother-in-law Raghav for his intelligence. Her husband Parimal takes up the challenge to fool Raghav to impress his lady love and goes to work for him as a driver.

Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka (1975)

Vishal, a poet, struggles to keep a job due to his honesty. He is shattered when his girlfriend marries another man. Vishal then starts hating all women and gives in to all kinds of vices.

Yakeen (1969)

Directed by Brij Sadanah, the movie stars Dharmendra in a double role where one character plays the role of the villain. Scientist Rajesh works with the Indian Government on a confidential research project and he is forced to deal with miscreants and national enemies who wish to steal his work.

Devar (1966)

The Mohan Sehgal directorial followed the story of childhood sweethearts who get separated but meet again as in-laws. The film was initially released in 1966 in black and white and two years later, in colour.

Anupama (1966)

The film, directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi. Mohan Sharma’s life changes dramatically after his wife dies giving birth to their daughter Uma, played by Sharmila. Her life gets better when she falls in love with a sensitive poet, Ashok, played by Dharmendra, who slowly brings her out of her shell.
