Babil Khan says director Homi Adajania made Irrfan Khan laugh during final days: ‘Greatest gift of all'

A day after Irrfan Khan’s fourth death anniversary, Babil Khan took to Instagram to share a heartwarming post about his father and director Homi Adajania’s bond.

He wrote, ‘Today is going to be about baba: His teaching: true friendship is the great equaliser of pride, no formidable demon of superbia can survive the piercing love of a true friendship. I remember that there were very few people in the end that made baba laugh like Homi and I guess that is the greatest gift of all, laughter.’

Reacting to Babil’s post, Homi Adajania commented, ‘Remembering the love.’

For those unaware, Homi Adajania’s ‘Angrezi Medium’ was the last film Irrfan Khan starred in. He played the role of Champak Bansal, father to a teenage girl who, after her graduation, wishes to go to London.

Earlier, Babil shared pictures of Irrfan and reflected on his teachings. He wrote, ‘You taught me to be a warrior, but engage with love and kindness. You taught me of hope and you taught me to fight for the people. You do not have fans, you have a family, and I promise you baba I will fight for our people and our family till you call upon me. I will not give up. I love you so much.’
