Amitabh Bachchan to receive Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Puraskar; AR Rahman & Randeep Hooda to be honoured

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has entertained the audience for the past several decades, will receive a special honour. The legendary actor will receive Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Puraskar.

Amitabh Bachchan to be honoured

The Mangeshkar family made the announcement on Tuesday that the prestigious Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award would be conferred upon Amitabh Bachchan. Big B will receive the award on April 24. The honour is given every year to the individual for making exemplary contribution to society. However, he is not the only one to receive the special honour.

AR Rahman and Randeep Hooda to also receive honours

The award, created in the memory of late singer Lata Mangeshkar, will also be bestowed upon A R Rahman and Randeep Hooda. While Rahman will receive the Master Deenanath Mangeskar Puraskar, Hooda will be the Vishesh Puraskar for their outstanding contribution in the fields of music and cinema.

Who else has received this award

The special honour was given to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lata Mangeshkar’s sister, Asha Bhosle in 2023.
