Alia Bhatt & Ranbir Kapoor announce pregnancy, Karan Johar, Soni Razdan & others send warm wishes

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are expecting their first child together and wishes are pouring in for Bollywood's power couple.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who shares a special bond with Alia, shared a picture from her wedding day on his Instagram Story and said that he's really 'excited' for the duo. 'My baby is going to be a mother,' he wrote.

Alia's mother Soni Razdan reshared the actor's post and said this is 'best news ever, our cup runneth over.'

Ranbir's sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni shared a picture of Ranbir and Alia on her Instagram stories, simply captioned: 'My babies are having a baby.'

Paparazzi congratulated Neetu Kapoor on becoming a grandmother as she was getting out of her vanity and the actor thanked them for their wishes.

In an interview with ETimes, Alia's father Mahesh Bhatt expressed his joy over the news and said that he's happy for the couple and he has to now prepare for the most important role of his life, a grandfather. 'This is going to be a grand debut,' he said.

Anushka Sharma, who co-starred with Ranbir in films like 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' and 'Bombay Velvet,' welcomed the duo to the parents club.
Bhumi Pednekar also congratulated the couple and said the news is 'heartwarming.'

Alia's BFFs Anushka Ranjan and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor also reshared Alia Bhatt's post on their Instagram Stories.

The news of Alia-Ranbir's pregnancy comes just two months after they tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on April 14.
