Actor Alia Bhatt was honoured with the Time 100 Impact Award in Singapore on Sunday, October 2. The soon-to-be mom delivered a moving speech at event and left everyone in awe. The actor concluded her acceptance speech with a thank you note for her family, husband Ranbir Kapoor for their constant support and made a special mention about her baby, who was consistently kicking during her speech.

Alia took to Instagram on Tuesday and shared a video along with a heartfelt note in which she spoke about the rules that are set for women and the importance of accepting one’s flaws.
She wrote, ‘There are so many rules that knowingly or unknowingly we think in order to be liked, to be loved, to be good, we have to be completely devoid of fault – an impossible, mythical being that could only really exist in the pages of a fairytale.’

The actor added, ‘But over the last ten years, I’ve come to fully realise something I subconsciously knew all along. Perfection is boring. It’s the flaws that make you, YOU.’
Alia Bhatt concluded by saying, ‘I want to take a moment with you all to celebrate my flaws along with my strengths. For example, I’m terrible at spelling but I do know what to say to someone who is vulnerable. My general knowledge is widely known to be weak but my emotional intelligence is something I have worked really hard to cultivate.’ The ‘Darlings’ actor looked gorgeous at the event in a metallic cape gown by Gauri and Nainika.

On the work front, Alia Bhatt is currently basking in the success of ‘Brahmastra Part One: Shiva.’ She will next be seen in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, Netflix's ‘Heart of Stone’ and ‘Jee Le Zara’. The actor recently launched her new maternity clothing line.
