Akshay Kumar shuts down rumours of owning a private jet worth ₹ 260 crore

Actor Akshay Kumar took to social media on Sunday and slammed a media report that claimed that he owns a private plane worth Rs 260 crore. Sharing a screenshot of the news report, he said that those who write baseless lies about him, will be called out. The news piece features a picture of Akshay and his ‘Bell Bottom’ co-star Vaani Kapoor as they pose on a runway with a plane in the background.

In his tweet, Akshay referred to a nursery rhyme and wrote, ‘Liar, Liar…pants on fire! Heard this in childhood? Well, some people have clearly not grown up, and I’m just not in a mood to let them get away with it. Write baseless lies about me, and I’ll call it out. Here, a Pants on Fire (POF) gem for you. (thumbs down emoji) #POFbyAK.’

The actor’s fans also extended their support in the matter and said, ‘Arey sir aise kon expose karta hai, nice to see your aggressive mood after long time.’ While another commented, ‘Good. You've been nice for way too long. Don't let people get away with it. Call them out and make sure they don't do it again. We love you.’

A fan also shared a meme from his film ‘Hera Pheri’ and wrote, ‘Can we keep Pants on Fire at the same level with ‘jali Naa...teri jali na.’

Akshay Kumar is one of the highest paid celebrities in the country.

On the work front, the actor is all gearing up for his film ‘Ram Setu’, which will be released on October 25. The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Satyadev and Nassar. He will also be seen in ‘OMG 2 – Oh My God! 2’ and ‘Selfiee’ with Emraan Hashmi.
