Ayushmann Khurrana: I'll do films that are progressive, and have a moral

Ayushmann Khurrana is known for doing movies with socially relevant messages such as ‘Vicky Donor’, 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan' and 'Badhaai Ho'. In a recent interview, the actor said that he doesn't want to be part of films with regressive storylines. He considers that progressive films or films which can create an impact on the audience are his USP.

Speaking with Bollywood Hungama, he said, 'I think it's just that I don't want to do anything regressive. I know, the popular palate is slightly regressive, but I can't change my mindset like that. So, this is my USP, I'll do films which are progressive, that have a moral.'
He further added that he believes in cinema for change, and movies that have a theatrical release, reach out to more people.

In his latest release 'Doctor G', Ayushmann plays the role of a male student in the gynecology department. The film, directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, released in theatres on October 14. Shefali Shah and Rakul Preet Singh play pivotal role in the movie.

On the work front, Ayushmann Khurrana will next feature in 'An Action Hero', alongside Jaideep Ahlawat and 'Dream Girl 2', co-starring Ananya Panday.
