Tinder revenue surges despite steep cost of living

Even though people are thinking twice before spending money from video streaming to food and shopping as the cost of living rises, they are definately not compromising to find the right match!

According to reports, the number of users paying to use Tinder jumped 7%, and revenue grew by 6% in July-September.

Match Group, which also owns Hinge and OkCupid, said overall sales rose to $810m (£704m) in the quarter but it warned the global economic slowdown was starting to take its toll.

Tinder, which offers a free version of its service, said it had been helped by the return of a feature that lets users swipe right and left from their desktops.

Last week, both Apple and Amazon warned that their sales are being hit as consumers cut back their spending.
