TCS hires more than 10,000 fresh graduates from engineering colleges across India

Tata Consultancy Services has recruited over 10,000 fresh graduates from top engineering colleges across the nation. This move comes amidst a prevailing slump in hiring, signalling a potential revival in demand in the upcoming financial year.

Employing its National Qualifier Test platform, TCS initiated its fresher recruitment drive last month. The NQT serves as a robust assessment tool, evaluating candidates’ cognitive abilities and skill proficiencies, ensuring a rigorous selection process.

The deadline for applications closed on April 10 and TCS is set to conduct more tests on April 26, dividing its recruitment process into phases to accommodate diverse college schedules. The company's hiring spree encompasses distinct categories - Ninja, Digital, and Prime, each offering competitive compensation packages ranging from Rs 3.36 lakh to Rs 9-11.5 lakh per annum.

The recruitment drive has garnered significant enthusiasm from both students and academic institutions. VIT and SASTRA University reported impressive figures of offer letters extended to their students, highlighting TCS's substantial presence in the recruitment landscape. Venkata Narasimhadevara of SRM Institute of Science and Technology emphasized the significance of TCS's revamped approach to entry-level positions, recognizing it as a strategic move to attract top-tier talent.

Despite facing logistical hurdles and a delayed recruitment cycle, TCS remains steadfast in its pursuit of talent acquisition, reaffirming its position as a pioneering force in the IT industry. As the company continues to adapt and innovate, its latest recruitment milestone underscores a promising start to the new financial year, setting the stage for sustained growth and success.
