Tapping into this passion for cricket is a Hyderabad based startup Hitwicket that offers online cricket games. Ediotrji's Avni Raja caught up with Kashyap Reddy, the company's Co-founder and CEO to discuss their journey, the growth so far and the future plans.

Hitwicket is a mobile esports startup that specializes in creating cricket games. The company aims to bring cricket fans from around the world together through its engaging and interactive gaming app, providing a unique platform for cricket enthusiasts to connect and compete.

Hitwicket boasts over six million users and is played in more than 100 countries. The game has a significant footprint in India, the UK, Australia, South Africa, and Pakistan, highlighting its global appeal and widespread popularity among cricket fans.

Talking about the evolution of his business, Reddy said Hitwicket is heavily driven by community. ''We are constantly in touch with users for feedback''. Reddy aaded, ''We also learn from the evolution of games and media. Our goal is to be one of the best in the world''.

The Role of AI

Discussing the role of AI in his esports startup, Reddy said Artificial Intelligence helps your team punch harder. He also said that Artificial Intelligence makes design and development easier.

Hitwicket: The Biggest Challenge

Discussing the business challenges, Reddy said that it's hard to build a gaming company. He also said that finding talent was tough and the company had to groom people for various roles.

Advice to Upcoming Entrepreneurs

Offering advice to budding entrepreneurs, Reddy said ship your product and get user feedback as soon as possible. He further added that users only care about the quality of the product.
