New Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino's echoes Musk's vision in first email to employees

Linda Yaccarino, the new CEO of twitter has sent out her first email to all employees outlining plans for the company. In her mail titled "Building Twitter 2.0 Together", she has said that the company is "on a mission to become the world's most accurate real-time information source".

She also echoed Elon Musk's vision of turning Twitter into the "global town square". She said this would help "drive civilisation forward through the unfiltered exchange of information and open dialogue about the things that matter most to us." In her letter she concluded, “Let’s dig our heels in (4 inches or flat!) and build Twitter 2.0 together”

Yaccarino, with her extensive background in advertising and a proven track record of success is now hoping to lead Twitter into a new era of growth and transformation. She was previously with NBCUniversal and held the position of leading global ad sales. Her primary objective is to rebuild Twitter's advertising business that had seen a lot of challenges since Musk took over the company.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk will continue to oversee Twitter's product and engineering teams.
