Why the pledge not to pay in fall?
From 1 October, the energy price cap – the maximum amount suppliers can charge in England, Scotland and Wales – will go up, leading to further bill rises for millions of customers. As per the Bank of England from Oct. 1, the average household will pay almost £300 a month for power.
