Basking in the sucess of his blockbuster 'Sooryavanshi', Rohit Shetty may be planning to expand his cop universe further, this time with a female cop.
During an interview with The Indian Express, Rohit Shetty was asked why his stories linger around alpha men saving the world? Rohit Shetty said, that without a female lead or cop, the universe won&rsquo;t ever be complete. 
He added that with a woman at the helm, his film will be at the level of 'Singham' or 'Sooryavanshi' and till the time he doesn't get that kind of a story, he can&rsquo;t proceed just because there is a demand for a female cop in this universe. He says, whenever he makes this film, he would want to make it into a bigger scale film.
Meanwhile, the filmmaker has dismissed reports that he has signed actor Sidharth Malhotra to headline his web-series about cops, saying the project is still under development.
There was speculation that the "Shershaah" star was set to work on the Sushwanth Prakash-directorial, which would have Shetty as the showrunner. Shetty said, not Sidharth Malhotra, no actor has been finalised yet for the web-series.

Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn had a special surprise in store for fans on Dussehra.&nbsp;The three Bollywood superstars shared a special video where they invited audiences to arrive in theatres for their upcoming film, 'Sooryavanshi'. 
The much-anticipated action flick, 'Sooryavanshi' is all set to release in cinemas on November 5, right on time for Diwali.
In a social media post, Akshay Kumar wrote, "Interval hua khatam, now it&rsquo;s showtime! Sooryavanshi releasing this Diwali, 5th November"
In the video, Akshay, Ranveer and Ajay were in an empty cinema hall. The trio says, how much they missed being in theatres and enjoying the magic of cinemas due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 
Katrina and Rohit Shetty also shared the video of Ranveer, Ajay and Akshay announcing the opening up of cinemas with 'Sooryavanshi'. 
In an Instagram post, Katrina Kaif wrote, "18 months have passed since our entire entertainment industry including film &amp; stage has been on a standstill due to the pandemic. It's been a long difficult wait for us but finally patience prevailed and we are back! Now it's not about just our film but it's about our industry as a family and the relationship we share with our beloved audience! So let's come together for the magic of cinema!"
'Sooryavanshi'&nbsp;was originally scheduled to release on March 24, 2020, but was delayed due to the pandemic, which led to shutdown of cinema halls in the country. 
'Sooryavanshi' is the fourth film in Rohit Shetty's cop universe, after blockbusters Ajay 'Singham' starring Ajay Devgn, 'Singham Returns', and 'Simmba' starring Ranveer Singh.&nbsp;Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh will be seen in cameo appearances in &ldquo;Sooryavanshi&rdquo;, which features Katrina Kaif as the female lead.
On Diwali, 'Sooryavanshi' will have a box office clash with Marvel film 'Eternals', which is also slated to hit the screens on November 5.

The much-anticipated action flick, 'Sooryavanshi' is all set to release in cinemas on November 5, right on time for Diwali.
In a social media post, Akshay Kumar wrote, "Interval hua khatam, now it&rsquo;s showtime! Sooryavanshi releasing this Diwali, 5th November"
In the video, Akshay, Ranveer and Ajay were in an empty cinema hall. The trio says, how much they missed being in theatres and enjoying the magic of cinemas due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Katrina and Rohit Shetty also shared the video of Ranveer, Ajay and Akshay announcing the opening up of cinemas with 'Sooryavanshi'.
In an Instagram post, Katrina Kaif wrote, "18 months have passed since our entire entertainment industry including film &amp; stage has been on a standstill due to the pandemic. It's been a long difficult wait for us but finally patience prevailed and we are back! Now it's not about just our film but it's about our industry as a family and the relationship we share with our beloved audience! So let's come together for the magic of cinema!"
'Sooryavanshi'&nbsp;was originally scheduled to release on March 24, 2020, but was delayed due to the pandemic, which led to shutdown of cinema halls in the country.
'Sooryavanshi' is the fourth film in Rohit Shetty's cop universe, after blockbusters Ajay 'Singham' starring Ajay Devgn, 'Singham Returns', and 'Simmba' starring Ranveer Singh.&nbsp;Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh will be seen in cameo appearances in &ldquo;Sooryavanshi&rdquo;, which features Katrina Kaif as the female lead.

Even as cinema reopens, 'Sooryavanshi' not releasing on Diwali!

With theatres set to resume businesses from October 15, Akshay Kumar starrer 'Sooryavanshi' and Ranveer&nbsp;Singh&nbsp;starrer&nbsp;'83 will not take the Diwali bait this year.
Reliance Entertainment Group CEO Sibashish Sarkar who had announced that 'Sooryavanshi' will hit theatres on Diwali, has now revealed that the film will will not be releasing on the festival day.
Sarkar&nbsp;revealed that for his film's campaign to begin, he would need at least four weeks of promotion starting mid-October and for now it doesn't seem feasible.
However, the 'Sooryavanshi' makers are yet to take a call on the new release date of the Rohit Shetty-directorial,&nbsp;Kabir Khan's '83 will mostly be pushed to the first quarter of 2021.
