'Sooryavanshi' takes off at the Box Office, Akshay Kumar’s second highest opener ever

With a collection of Rs 26.5 crore, Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi is now the second-highest opener for the actor, the first being the 2019 film 'Mission Mangal' that raked in an estimated total of Rs 28 crore on its opening day.

According to reports, 'Sooryavanshi' has revived the industry and brought back 80% of the business in comparison to pre-pandemic times.

It'll only be a matter of time before the pre and post-pandemic box office numbers are equal and yet again set a record.

That pretty much puts Sooryavanshi in perspective in a big way. The superstar has shown his might again, and now fans are all the more excited for his next release Prithviraj, set to release on 21st January 2022.

'Sooryavanshi' premiered to great reviews on its first day itself. It contrasted with the Hollywood film 'Eternals' which until early November 4 was tied neck-to-neck with it in advance booking ticket sales.
