He took to Twitter and wrote, 'Kudos to Revathy for her conviction and brilliance in making Salaam Venky, the true story of a young Chess player&rsquo;s struggle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a rare disorder.

Kajol&rsquo;s &lsquo;Salaam Venky&rsquo; is finally in theatres and she has received a sweet note from her husband, actor Ajay Devgn. He shared a note after watching the film and revealed that it &lsquo;charged&rsquo; him &lsquo;emotionally&rsquo;. He sent best wishes to the cast and crew of the film and praised Vishal Jethwa&rsquo;s performance, who plays the role of Kajol's son in the film.

Kajol and Vishal Jethwa starrer 'Salaam Venky' had a star-studded premiere on Wedsnesday. Esha Deol, Sharad Kelkar Vatsal Sheth, Ishita Dutta, Aahana Kumra, Madhoo, cricketer Yuvraj Singh, Aamir Khan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan star Harshali Malhotra attended the party. &nbsp;
The party&rsquo;s pictures and videos are going viral. Aamir Khan&rsquo;s all-grey outfit was really liked by fans. The actor wore a denim jacket with a matching pair of jeans to go with it. Netizens also showered love in comments when Harshali&rsquo;s pictures were shared online by the paparazzi. She wore an ivory-coloured sweater dress with brown fur boots for the party.
&lsquo;Salaam Venky&rsquo; is based on true story of a Duchenne muscular dystrophy patient whose mother tries everything to make her son live life to the fullest. Talking about his character in the film, Vishal said, &lsquo;normally such patients survive for 16-17 years but Venkatesh is an exceptional case. Thanks to his will power and positive mindset, he lives for 25 years.&rsquo;&nbsp;&nbsp;
The film is directed by Revathy and is all set to hit the theatres on December 9. &nbsp;

Vishal Jethwa, who made his debut with &lsquo;Mardaani 2&rsquo; also starring Rani Mukerji, spoke about the long gap he faced in work during the Covid-19 pandemic. He said that the period was frustrating but it was not just him or the film industry but the entire world which was going through testing times.
In an interview with Indianexpress.com, the actor also talked about his upcoming movie 'Salaam Venky.'&nbsp;He said, 'Normally such patients survive for 16-17 years but Venkatesh is an exceptional case. Thanks to his will power and positive mindset, he lives his journey for 25 years. And he not only survives but also has the courage to dream and live a big life and do something for his family too. He was mentally strong and makes one wonder why we complain so much in life. That&rsquo;s why this character is very inspiring; this film is about the relationship of a mother and a son. I feel the relationship that a mother and her child shares has to be the purest form of love and relationship in the world.'
Talking about the Covid-19 pandemic he said, 'I think it was for everyone. Not only the film industry but everyone from every walk of life went through it.' He went on to say that he got many offers after &lsquo;Mardaani 2.&rsquo; He also talked about how he was just "soaking in the new phase of his career". The actor said that he spent the Covid-19 pandemic looking at the best debutant actor award he received for &lsquo;Mardaani 2.&rsquo;
Vishal will be sharing screen space with Kajol in &lsquo;Salaam Venky&rsquo; and he also has &lsquo;Tiger 3&rsquo; in pipeline.

&lsquo;Salaam Venky&rsquo;, starring Kajol, is scheduled to release in theatres on December 9.

The trailer of &lsquo;Salaam Venky&rsquo;, starring Kajol, Vishal Jethwa and Rahul Bose among others, has been unveiled.
It introduces <a href="https://www.editorji.com/entertainment-news/bollywood/kajol-forces-jaya-bachchan-to-remove-her-mask-at-durga-pandal-says-mask-nikalna-padega-1664866414196">Kajol </a>as Sujata who looks after her terminally ill son Venky, who is confined to a wheelchair. She refers to a dialogue from the iconic movie &lsquo;Anand&rsquo; and promises her son&rsquo;s life larger and not longer. Venky&rsquo;s health is deteriorating quickly, and yet he is ready to fight for every moment of joy, just like his mother. Aamir Khan features towards the end of the trailer.
The film's official synopsis reads, &lsquo;Witness the story of Sujata and her son Venky, as they navigate through the most challenging situations one can ever face with a smile and teach us the true meaning of living BiG. Based on a true story of a life well lived.&rsquo;
&lsquo;Salaam Venky&rsquo; is co-produced by Blive Productions and RTake Studios and directed by Revathy. The film was initially titled &lsquo;The Last Hurrah&rsquo;. It is scheduled to release in theatres on December 9, 2022.
Besides &lsquo;Salaam Venky&rsquo;, Kajol will soon be making her web series debut in the Hindi adaptation of &lsquo;The Good Wife&rsquo; on Disney+ Hotstar.
