Two-time MP from Chandigarh, Kirron Kher has cleared the air about not running in upcoming Lok Sabha elections in an interview with Times Now. The BJP leader said that she was not dropped by the party, instead she herself requested to be exempted from contesting. She said, &ldquo;Two months ago, I met our party president JP Nadda and Union Home Affairs Minister Amit Shah and requested that they let me sit out this time. When I fell ill&hellip; I had multiple myeloma&hellip; I had to be in Mumbai for about a year for my treatment. By the grace of God, I am completely fine now. But I missed out on that year in Chandigarh. And I don&rsquo;t want my party to suffer because of my absence,&rdquo; She also cleared that even though she is not contesting this time, her association with the BJP is not over.&nbsp;

Kirron Kher was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo recovery treatment. Recalling the time of illness, she revealed that Prime Minister Modi had called her to ask about her well-being. Sikander Kher, who turned 42 on October 31, has received a wonderful message from his parents, veteran actors Kirron Kher and Anupam Kher.
Sharing a cute throwback picture with Sikander on Instagram, Kirron wrote, &lsquo;Dearest darling @sikandarkher, many many happy returns of the day. God bless you with a long, happy and healthy life. Lots of love, Mom.&rsquo;
On the other hand, Anupam called Sikander a &lsquo;confident, vulnerable&rsquo; person and requested him to get married as he turns 42.

Sikander Kher was last seen in the Netflix film 'Monica, O My Darling' and series &lsquo;Tooth Pari: When Love Bites&rsquo;. He will next be seen in the web series 'Aarya 3&rsquo; alongside Sushmita Sen. The show will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar from November 3.
In the show, Sikander plays the role of Daulat, Rathore's loyal hitman. He has received immense praise for his remarkable performance.

Since there was water in his lungs, the doctors initially suspected it was pneumonia, but it turned out to be cancer. Director Rakesh Roshan&rsquo;s doctor helped Sanjay Dutt and due to the prompt medical assistance, he was able to overcome the fatal disease. Sanjay Dutt announced that he won over cancer on his children's 10th birthday.&nbsp;
Kirron Kher
Kirron Kher was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer, in 2021. She then talked about the same to Hindustan Times and said that it&rsquo;s not the ideal situation to be in, but one learns to deal with it and carry on. She recovered after receiving treatment from a good team of doctors at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai
Later, Kirron returned to work and was seen on the show 'India's Got Talent' as a panel judge.

Mahima Chaudhry, best known for her performance in Subhash Ghai&rsquo;s 1997 film &lsquo;Pardes&rsquo;, was diagnosed with breast cancer. According to Indian Express, Mahima said that her treatment lasted for four months in Mumbai, but the journey was &lsquo;difficult&rsquo; and that the emotions will stay with her for a while.&nbsp;
Mahima will now be resuming work. She has two films in the pipeline &lsquo;Emergency&rsquo; and &lsquo;The Signature&rsquo;.
Manisha Koirala
Manisha Koirala was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2012. She was declared cancer-free by 2015 after a long battle with the deadly disease. Manisha was in the US for six months as a part of her treatment.&nbsp;
Manisha launched her autobiography &ndash; &lsquo;Healed: How Cancer Gave Me A New Life&rsquo; &ndash; in January 2018 in which she opened up about her ordeal with cancer and emerging as a survivor.
After taking a break from work due to cancer, she made her comeback to Bollywood in 2017 with &lsquo;Dear Maya&rsquo;.

Actor Anupam Kher is gearing up for the release of his forthcoming film 'Uunchai', co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Neena Gupta among others. The actor recently opened up about his wife-actor Kirron Kher&rsquo;s cancer journey and called her 'a fighter.'
In an exclusive interview with ETimes, the 'The Kashmir Files' actor said, &lsquo;She has started work again in Chandigarh. She was a judge on India&rsquo;s Got Talent. The human spirit is much more stronger than any other thing. Giving up is not an option. Because you are known, you become role model for people.'
The actor also addressed his concern when Kirron resumed working again after her battle with cancer. He said, 'Of course, anybody who comes to know about something like this&hellip; because the C word is somehow made into a big thing but today, science and medicine have become so amazing and she was very lucky to have wonderful doctors here in Mumbai.'
For the unversed, Kirron Kher was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2021.
Anupam also talked about his upcoming film and said, 'Rajshri Productions is a treasure, they have made 60 films in 75 years. They have always made a film that they believed in, which is about the culture they believe in and practice. So much so, at a certain point, I think some uncool people decided to slot them as traditional because they could not deal with it.'
Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, 'Uunchai' is a story of a group of old-aged friends who attempt to climb Mount Everest. The film will release on November 11.
