With 90 athlete quotas available in both the men's and women's categories, the 12 participating teams are allowed to name 15-member squads.

Originally, the league was set to commence on May 27 in Indore, aligning with the IPL's earlier scheduled conclusion on May 25. However, the IPL will now conclude on June 3 owing to a week-long halt caused by India-Pakistan military hostilities.
Organised by the Gwalior Division Cricket Association (GDCA) under the aegis of the MP Cricket Association, the competition, which featured five teams last season, has been expanded to seven, with the inclusion of teams from the Bundelkhand and Chambal regions.
"Gwalior holds a special place in the hearts of our players and fans, and we are thrilled to return here. South African players who have been picked for the World Test Championship Final against Australia are likely to miss the IPL playoffs as the country's cricket board is standing firm on prioritising national duty over league commitments.
The BCCI confirmed on Monday that the IPL will resume on May 17 with the final slated for June 3.
However, the revised schedule has left players from WTC finalists Australia and South Africa in a tight spot.
The franchises and the BCCI have urged foreign boards to make their players available for the remainder of the tournament.
CSA, however, has reiterated its commitment to WTC Final preparations. "It is an individual decision, obviously, to return or to play or continue," CSA's director of national teams and high performance Enoch Nkwe said during press conference.
"One thing we've made clear, and we are finalising this with the IPL and the BCCI, is sticking to our original plan when it comes to the WTC preparations."
"May 26 is the latest for the Test guys to come back. The original plans don't change because the No. 1 priority is the WTC final.
We've been engaging with them over the last day or two to make sure we're all on the same page," he added.
Eight South African players -- Kagiso Rabada (Gujarat Titans), Lungi Ngidi (Royal Chalengers Bengaluru), Tristan Stubbs (Delhi Capitals), Aiden Markram (Lucknow Super Giants), Ryan Rickelton (Mumbai Indians), Corbin Bosch (MI), Marco Jansen (Punjab Kings) and Wiaan Mulder (Sunrisers Hyderabad) -- have been named in the Proteas squad for the WTC Final, scheduled to start from June 11 in London.
Currently, GT, RCB, MI, PBKS, DC and LSG are in contention for an IPL playoff spot. South Africa head coach Shukri Conrad echoed CSA's stance.
"Our initial agreement with IPL-BCCI was, with the final being on the 25th, our players would return on the 26th, so that it allows them ample time before we fly out on the 30th. As it stands, we're not budging on this.
We want our players back on the 26th," he said. "That is the ongoing conversations that are being had between people in a higher pay grade than I am.
They're dealing with that. We want our players back on the 26th and hopefully that comes to fruition."
The IPL season was suspended on May 9 due to a military confrontation between India and Pakistan, triggered by the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, South Kashmir.
A ceasefire announced the following day paved the way for the tournament's resumption.
As per the new schedule, the league stage ends on May 27, with playoffs running from May 29 to June 3, dates that clash with CSA's WTC preparations.
While CSA has taken a strong position, Cricket Australia has allowed its players to decide individually, and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is set to review its No Objection Certificates (NOCs)

Shastri said while there were only two mediums -- radio and Doordarshan (TV)&mdash;during his playing days, the game has come a long way after India won the 1983 World Cup.
"India has won a lot of tournaments in the last 40 years since we first won it in 1983. We made people dream," the 62-year-old Shastri said during a panel discussion on 'Intersection of Sports, Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Media' at the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) here.
"But you need the support. It's like you had pads in your kit bag, you had a cricket bat in your kit bag, and media is part of the kit bag. Media and technology are like a helmet in your cricket bag; you jolly well embrace it." Shastri said technology, especially, is an essential element of sport now, and players need to know how to use it to build themselves.
"So you jolly well embrace technology. AI (artificial intelligence) is coming into play now big time. It's for your benefit. It's for the team's benefit, and it's for the growth of the game at the end of it all," he said.
Shastri said the brand association earlier was only restricted to logos and doing advertisements, but all that has changed with several broadcast platforms coming up.
"I have seen this game evolve; each one of the players here has been a part of it to see where the game has gone in the last 40-45 years... Without these platforms, the game wouldn't have evolved the way it has," he said.
"In my time it was radio and Doordarshan. The relationship with brands was only (about) ads; it was (about) logos." "There was no brand association; there was no social media. There was no podcast, but this is where it is going, and it is only getting bigger," he added.
Shastri said the varied platforms have increased the visibility of a player, which was not the case before.
"We are a country of 1.5 billion people. We are young; 70 percent of the people are below the age of 30. Sport is something that drives you, and if you think it didn't drive them, it woke them up during Covid (pandemic).
"It brought smiles to their faces when India played, wherever they played, whatever sport, whether it was cricket, football, hockey, or whatever. When you performed, you got even bigger smiles.
"Even when you were in lockdown or quarantine or whatever. But why could they see it? Because of the platforms that exist," he said.
Shastri also stressed the benefits of the technology enjoyed by modern-day players.
"What technology has done for the sport is unbelievable. Today, a player can go back and watch himself 100 times. There'll be enough replays showing what he's done right and what he's done wrong," he said.
"There's technology to go even more into detail, to tell you more about your opponent, about yourself, about your strengths, and your weaknesses to then take on opposition wherever it exists and kill them."

Since then, despite gaining enormous popularity, especially in countries like India, England, Australia, and Pakistan, the sport has stayed out of the Olympic spotlight.&nbsp;
That changes now. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has officially confirmed T20 cricket as part of the LA 2028 Games as well as in Brisbane in 2032.
T20 Format Chosen for Global Appeal

 The format has been kept to align well with the Olympic spirit &mdash; short, intense, and crowd-friendly. The decision reflects the sport&rsquo;s growing global footprint, especially with its rising popularity in newer markets like the USA.
How many teams can participate?&nbsp;
One of the biggest talking points is the limited number of teams. Only six men&rsquo;s and six women&rsquo;s teams will compete, as cricket has been given a total of 90 athlete quotas per gender which is enough for 15-member squads.
 This means that many top cricketing nations, including some of the 12 Full Members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), could miss out. With 94 Associate Members also in the mix, competition for those few spots is bound to be fierce.
Which teams will qualify? 
The qualification process for the Olympics is yet to be revealed. However, it is expected that host nation USA will receive a direct entry, leaving only five spots open for other nations. This adds further intrigue and intensity to the build-up toward LA 2028, and to understand which teams will be eligible to play in the biggest sporting event.&nbsp;
Multi-Sport Presence Strengthens Cricket&rsquo;s Case
Cricket&rsquo;s inclusion comes after its recent appearances in multi-sport events. The women&rsquo;s game debuted at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, while both men&rsquo;s and women&rsquo;s T20s were part of the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou. These milestones have helped strengthen cricket's case for Olympic inclusion.
Looking Ahead: Brisbane 2032 and Beyond
Interestingly, cricket is also set to feature in Brisbane 2032, ensuring at least two Olympic editions for the sport in the coming decade. This is a huge opportunity for cricket to capture new audiences, gain funding for grassroots development, and inspire a new generation of athletes worldwide.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is planning to have a conference with players, coaches, national selectors and mentors during or after the Pakistan Super League (PSL) to "resolve some internal issues" in the national team.
A source said on Thursday that PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi was not happy with the way matters related to the team had been handled so far by all the stakeholders.
"There has been a lack of proper communication between the team captains, coaches and selectors in recent months and this has led to senior players including ODI and Test captains, Mohammad Rizwan, Shan Masood not being happy at decisions being taken by over-riding their views in selection and other team matters," the source said.
He said Rizwan had conveyed a message to the chairman to meet with the players and discuss the issues.
Apparently Rizwan was overruled by the interim head coach, Aaqib Javed, and selectors on a few occasions in selection and team strategy matters in recent times.
"The PCB chairman will probably call a meeting with senior players, selectors, coaches, concerned board officials and the mentors to openly discuss the issues in the team," the source added.
A similar exercise was held last September by the PCB in which some senior players openly questioned the performance of some board officials and expressed their concerns over NOC policy for foreign leagues.
The PCB also has to take a call on the coaching staff for the national team during or after the PSL ends next month before Pakistan begins its new international home season with a series against Bangladesh at home.
The PCB has to decide whether to make Aaqib the permanent head coach in all formats or appoint new coaches.
