What to expect from iPhone 15: Dynamic Island, 48MP main camera and USB-C port

Apple's upcoming iPhone 15 series is expected to introduce significant upgrades including a Dynamic Island, frosted glass backs, 48MP cameras, and the replacement of the Lightning port with USB-C.

What to expect from iPhone 15: Dynamic Island, 48MP main camera and USB-C port

Apple is expected to unveil its next-generation iPhone 15 series in September 2023. This year, Apple is expected to launch four models - iPhone 15, Plus, Pro, and Pro Max.

This time around, it will be the base iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, which will include major changes. Leaks suggest that the standard models will get three significant upgrades compared to their predecessors.

First, the devices may have Apple's new Dynamic Island feature, which means they will have a punch-hole display design. Second, the regular versions are said to feature 48MP rear cameras, a significant upgrade from the 12MP sensors seen on existing iPhone models.

Regarding the camera, the standard models would not feature optical zoom or LiDAR, which will reportedly be only available on higher-end models. The Pro Max model will include up to 5-6x optical zoom-enabled periscope lenses, apart from other sensors.

Additionally, one of the significant changes in the 2023 iPhones is the replacement of Apple's Lightning port with a USB Type-C port. This will make it easier for people to charge their phones, as they will now need only one USB-C charger for all devices.

These upgrades would differentiate the iPhone 15 and its Plus model from their predecessors, and Apple might avoid criticism for offering the same design on regular models for years.
