Samsung expects high demand for premium phones in India

Samsung India anticipates that the strong demand for its new Galaxy S23 series will continue in the foreseeable future.

According to a report, Samsung's Head of Mobile experience Business believes that the premium smartphone market in India will continue to grow, driven by rising 5G adoption and a global consumer trend towards more reliable devices.

He predicts that the premium smartphone market in India, with prices over $400, will grow by over 30 percent in the next few years, while the 5G smartphone market will grow by over 60 percent by 2023.

Samsung recently reported over 140,000 pre-bookings for its Galaxy S23 series in India within 24 hours, twice the number received for its previous S22 series.
